China ‘Reducing’ Hollywood Movies

Although the new feature, “A Minecraft Movie”,  directed by Jared Hess, earned $14 million after 3 days of screenings in Chinese movie theaters, the Hollywood-produced feature  could be the last to play in the ‘CCP’-controlled, world’s biggest movie market, now that the ‘China Film Administration’ (CFA) has confirmed plans to ‘reduce’  the amount of ‘American films’ it imports:

According to the CFA, this is in response to the US government's decision to “abuse tariffs on China” and that the situation “will inevitably further reduce the domestic audience’s favorability towards American films…”

“A Minecraft Movie” adapts the best-selling video game in history, with over 300 million copies sold and over 140 million monthly active players.

Players explore a blocky, pixelated procedurally generated, three-dimensional world with virtually infinite terrain.

Players can discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, build structures, earthworks and machines.

Depending on a chosen game mode, players can fight hostile mobs…

…as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world.
