"RoboCop": SPFX Gunfire and Pyrotechnical Explosions- November 12-23, 2012


Thanks to TorontoFilm.Net, we have a filming notification from 'OMNICORP', regarding road closures and SPFX gunfire, for the OCP Productions/MGM Pictures feature 'RoboCop", back to shoot on location in Toronto in the vicinity of George Brown College @ 51 Dockside Drive, throughout mid-November :


"...we will be filming exterior night scenes for this movie on November 12 through to November 23, 2012, with our Main Unit and 2nd Unit. Our filming times will be from 3PM to 7AM daily and all scenes will involve special effects simulated gunfire/blanks, squib hits and pyrotechnic explosions..."

Director José Padilha's "RoboCop" stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman,  Samuel L. Jackson,  Michael Keaton, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle and Marianne Jean-Baptiste :

"...in 'RoboCop', the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate 'OmniCorp' is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. 'Alex Murphy' (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before..."
