Martin Scorsese’s “What Happens At Night”

“What Happens At Night”, is a new ‘Gothic psychological’ horror feature, currently in post-production, directed by Martin Scorsese, adapting the 2020 novel by Peter Cameron, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson and Jared Harris, targeting a 2027 theatrical release:

“…a married couple faces a failing relationship and the wife's advanced illness diagnosis. They travel to an isolated northern European city to adopt a baby boy named ‘Simon’ from a local orphanage.

“They check into the massive, eerie, and nearly deserted ‘Borgarfjaroasysla Grand Imperial Hotel’, where time and reality feel blurred in a cold, surreal setting.

“The couple meets bizarre residents and staff, as the dying wife seeks out a famous local religious faith healer named ‘Brother Emmanuel’, whose intervention makes her believe she is miraculously cured…”
