Warner Bros reports they will invest $161 million to expand England's 170-acre Leavesden Studios film site, located in Watford, 25 miles northwest of London, after the company's success with the facility, producing their "Harry Potter" film franchise.
Warners Chairman, chief executive Barry Meyer said the investment will give Warner Bros a state-of-the-art, permanent UK film production base, scheduled for completion in 2012.
The studio has also been used for "The Dark Knight" and "Inception."
A "Harry Potter" studio tour, showcasing the actual sets used in all 8 of the "HP" films, will be a part of the new Leavesden, re-opening for tourists, mid-2012...
