"The Informant!" is the newest feature from director/cinematographer Steven "The Girlfriend Experience" Soderbergh, based on the 2000 non-fiction novel by author/journalist Kurt Eichenwald.

Screenplay adaptation is by Scott Z. Burns.

Premise of the 'dark-comedy/thriller', set in the 1990's, follows 'Mark Whitacre' (Matt Damon), a bi-polar 'rising star' at Decatur, Illinois based 'Archer Daniels Midland', who became a 'whistle-blower' regarding the company’s unethical tactics.

In November 1992, Whitacre confessed to FBI agent 'Brian Shepard' (Scott Bakula) that ADM executives routinely met with competitors to fix the price of lysine, a food additive.

Whitacre secretly gathered hundreds of hours of video/audio over several years to present to the FBI, gathering evidence by taping company business meetings in Tokyo, Paris, Mexico City and Hong Kong.
"The Informant!" will be released September 18.

Phase 4 Films will release the DVD/Blu-ray edition of Valentino "Valentino The Last Emperor", September 8, 2009.

Produced/directed by Matt Tyrnauer, correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine, the feature doc debuted at the 2008 Venice Film Festival.

"...An inspirational look into the life and times of the iconic fashion designer 'Valentino', the film documents the colorful and dramatic closing act of the last true couturier's celebrated career, and revisits the story of his extraordinary life and work..."

"'Valentino' is an exciting, inside peek into the glamorous world of fashion,” said Berry Meyerowitz, President/CEO, Phase 4 Films. "Yet at its heart, this film is about the personal and professional relationship of two men who built an empire together for over four decades."

"The film has brought Valentino's genius to a broader audience, and also shows, for the first time, the man behind the legend," said Tyranauer. "Many people who thought they knew Valentino discovered the human face behind the icon in this film."

Lensed from June 2005 to July 2007, Tyranauer shot over 250 hours of footage with exclusive, unprecedented access to Valentino and his entourage.

The result is an intimate look between Valentino and his business partner/companion of 50 years, Giancarlo Giammetti, as the 'master' confronts the final act of his celebrated fashion career.
