Goldsman Adapting Brown's "Angels and Demons"

Screenwriter Akiva "Cinderella Man" Goldsman, will follow up his work on director Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code with an adaptation of author Dan Brown's 'Robert Langdon' prequel Angels and Demons, also for Sony/Columbia Pictures.

The studio is currently basking in the $170 million international box office opening of The Da Vinci Code.

Both director Howard and actor Tom Hanks have the option of joining the Angels and Demons feature, but neither have committed to the project, as they are both reportedly still smarting from the worldwide condemnation of The Da Vinci Code by a majority of film critics and the Catholic church.
