The Max Original drama "Dead Boy Detectives", based on a pilot directed by Lee Toland Krieger, is a new 8-episode horror detective series featuring characters from writer Neil Gaiman's DC Comics title "The Sandman"#25 and the Vertigo series “Dead Boy Detectives", streaming April 25, 2024 on Netflix:
"...'Edwin Paine', was a boy killed in 1916 in a boarding school, which he then subsequently haunted. He now forms half of the dead boy detectives alongside 'Charles Rowland'.
"'Charles Rowland', after being stuck at a boarding school over the holidays, is killed by the returning spirits of former students. He now forms half of the dead boy detectives alongside Edwin Paine.
"Now the two boys are given the chance to stay on earth by 'Death', so they can act as detectives of supernatural occurrences..."
