"Squid Game: The Challenge" on Netflix

"Squid Game: The Challenge" is a new 10-episode 'reality competition' TV series based on the drama "Squid Game", streaming November 22, 2023 on Netflix:

"...in 'Squid Game: the Challenge', 456 players will compete to win more than $4 million, the largest cash prize in television history. Through a series of games, each player is pushed to their limits and forced to ask themselves how far they’ll go to win.."

With 111 million viewers “Squid Game", the fictional survival drama series, focused on a contest where players compete in children's games, with deadly penalties for losing, but big money for winning.

"...'Seong Gi-hun', a divorced and indebted chauffeur, is invited to play a series of children's games for a chance at a large cash prize. Accepting the offer, he is taken to an unknown location and finds himself among 455 other players, all with similar large debts. The players are kept under watch at all times by masked guards in pink jumpsuits, with the games overseen by the 'Front Man'. 

"The players soon discover that losing in these games results in their death, with each death adding millions to a potential billion dollar grand prize.

"Gi-hun allies with other players, including his childhood friend 'Cho Sang-woo', to try to survive the physical and psychological twists of the games..."
