“Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai”, the new 10 episode CG-animated prequel TV series set before the 1984 feature “Gremlins” has been renewed for a second season before its first streaming run in 2022 on HBO Max:
“…the new series will focus on how ‘Sam Wing’ met the young ‘Mogwai’ creature called ‘Gizmo’. Along with a teenage street thief named ‘Elle’, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the countryside, encountering, and battling, monsters and spirits from folklore. On their quest to return Gizmo to his family and uncover a legendary treasure, they are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil ‘Gremlins’…”
