Bradley Cooper : "Maestro"

Netflix is prepping the 'Leonard Bernstein' biopic "Maestro", directed by and starring Bradley Cooper from a screenplay he co-wrote, produced by Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Todd Phillips, following a complex love story between Leonard and 'Felicia', from the time they met in 1946 at a party and continuing through two engagements, a 25 year marriage and three children:

Spielberg's latest feature, a reboot of the urban gang musical "West Side Story", incorporates Bernstein's musical score from the original 1961 film.

"...'Maestro' will focus on the relationship between Bernstein and his wife, his conducting debut at the New York Philharmonic at age 25...

"...his blacklisting as a communist, then being cleared before he composed the Oscar-nominated score for 'On the Waterfront'...

"...his rousing score for 'The Great Escape', his worldwide fame for 'West Side Story', his, activism in the civil rights movement and outspoken views on ending the Vietnam War..."
