Marvel's ""Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings"

According to Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige, director Destin Daniel Cretton's supernatural, 'martial arts mayhem' action feature "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", opening February 12, 2021, stars an all-Asian cast led by Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Chiu-Wai Leung:

"...'Shang-Chi' aka 'rising and advancing spirit' was born in Honan province, China, the son of crime lord 'Fu Manchu' and an unknown American woman.

"Trained privately by masters of various disciplines, Shang had limited contact with his parents.

"His father told him his training was being directed towards a great humanitarian goal, as Fu Manchu believed he was a generous philanthropist. But when the time came for Shang to face the outside world and carry out this mission, he was transported to England, where his mission was assassination.

"He knew nothing other than to honor his father with complete loyalty and he killed who he was told was an evil man.

"British secret agent 'Sir Dennis Nayland-Smith' arrived on the scene in time to catch Shang, but unable to hold him. On the run, Shang sought out his mother, now living in London.

"She told him the truth about Fu Manchu's life of crime and evil. Shang swore to his mother that he would become his father's enemy, and do whatever it would take to topple his evil empire..."

"...'Shang-Chi'. We've wanted to make that movie for a long time," said Feige. "Shang-Chi is gonna' be so much more than a 'Kung Fu' movie. But it has elements of that, which we're excited about.

"Every time we do a movie, we hope it's going to succeed so that we can make another movie. That's always the idea."
