Hef Covers "Playboy"

Sneak Peek "Playboy" magazine covers featuring 'men' on the occasion of late founder Hugh Hefner covering the November/December 2017 issue, as the 11th man to ever be on the cover, photographed by Larry Gordon in 1965:

Hefner, who reportedly seduced thousands of young women...

...died two days before the special issue was going to press, at his Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, California.

Buried beside Marilyn Monroe, "He is in the place he was always certain he wanted to spend eternity", said his widow Crystal Hefner.

"He was an American hero. A pioneer. A kind and humble soul who opened up his life and home to the world."

Putting up his furniture as collateral for a loan and borrowing the rest, Hefner published the first issue of Playboy December 1953, featuring a nude Monroe. The same year, Hefner launched media and lifestyle company Playboy Enterprises, Inc., serving as a board member until the time of his death.
