"Deadpool 2" Stunt Woman Killed

According to VancouverFilm.Net, the Fox sequel "Deadpool 2" is now back in production, as of August 16, 2017, 2 days after stunt driver Joi Harris died in her first on-camera stunt, riding a motorcycle in downtown Vancouver:

Harris had performed the stunt successfully several times in rehearsal.

But reportedly was not given a helmet to wear during shooting.

"A coroner attended the scene and an investigation is underway with The Vancouver Police Department and WorkSafeBC which is also investigating this incident," said The British Colombia Coroners office.

"We tragically lost a member of our crew while filming 'Deadpool'," said actor Ryan Reynolds.

"We're heartbroken, shocked and devastated, but recognize that nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment. My heart pours out to them -- along with each and every person she touched in this world..."

"Deadpool 2" is still scheduled for a June 1, 2018 release.
