"Justice League" - 'Batman' Talks

Actor Ben Affleck, who has officially dropped out of starring in "The Batman", has explained the motivations behind his 'Batman' in the upcoming feature "Justice League", following his portrayal of the 'Caped Crusader' in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice":

"'BVS' departed a little bit from the traditional 'Batman'," said Affleck.

"He started out with all this rage directed at 'Superman', because of his co-workers who had died in the fight Superman had with 'Zod'.

"He was holding on to a lot of anger, in a little bit of an irrational way, whereas this is a much more traditional Batman.

"He’s heroic. He does things in his own way, but he wants to save people, help people...

"This is more in keeping with the canon of how Batman’s usually been portrayed, and how he’s portrayed vis a vis the 'Justice League' in the comics.

"This is more the Batman you would find if you opened up your average Batman comic book..."

Meanwhile Casey Affleck doesn't think his older brother Ben will return to play Batman in the developing stand-alone feature "The Batman".

"I thought he was an okay Batman", said Casey. "...he was great. He was great. He's a hero, so he had something to channel and work with there. But he's not gonna do that movie..."

"Being Batman is the coolest fucking part in any universe," said Ben. "I’m so thrilled to do it. It’s fucking amazing to have this history of this great studio...

"They said to me, 'We want you to be our Batman' and I believe them..."
