There are new updates regarding AMC's "The Walking Dead" 'zombie' spin-off TV pilot, "Cobalt":
To star actress Kim Dickens ("Gone Girl") "The Walking Dead" 'companion' series, will be set in modern-day Los Angeles, featuring zombies running amok through Malibu, Topanga Canyon, and Beverly Hills. Also starring are actors Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey, in a pilot to be directed by Adam Davidson.
"...the pilot will be set in the same time-frame as 'The Walking Dead' but in a different location, following a male divorced teacher and a female guidance councillor trying to survive the zombie apocalypse.
"Dillane will play the drug-addled son of the guidance councillor and Debnam Carey will play her 'ambitious' daughter..."
