"Superman: Man Of Steel" Statue Pre-Orders

 

From DC Collectibles, pre-order here the new "Man of Steel" 1:6 scale statue, in the likeness of actor Henry Cavill in his alien 'Superman' costume, sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios, measuring 13.25" high x 8.5" wide x 5.75" deep, available May 2013.

"...'Man Of Steel', from director Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill ('The Tudors') as 'Superman/Clark Kent'.

"Three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams ('The Fighter') plays 'Daily Planet' journalist 'Lois Lane'.

"Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne ('What's Love Got To Do With It') is her editor-in-chief, 'Perry White'. 

Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, 'Martha' and 'Jonathan Kent', are Oscar nominee Diane Lane ('Unfaithful') and Academy Award winner Kevin Costner ('Dances with Wolves').

"Squaring off against the superhero are other surviving 'Kryptonians', including the villainous 'General Zod', played by Oscar nominee Michael Shannon ('Revolutionary Road').

'Faora', Zod's evil partner is played by Antje Traue. 

"Also from Superman's native Krypton are 'Lara Lor-Van', Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer and Superman's father, 'Jor-El'  portrayed by Academy Award winner Russell Crowe ('Gladiator').

"Man of Steel" is produced by Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers. 

'Superman' was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Sceenplay was written by David S. Goyer, from a story by Goyer and Nolan, based on characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics.

"Man of Steel" is slated for release June 14, 2013, distributed world wide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
