"...during spring break 'Lagoona' invites all of her friends to come with her to the 'Great Barrier Reef' with a luxurious ship her parents sent.
"The only one she has not yet invited is 'Gil', because she wants to surprise him during the pre-spring break school carnival.
"Lagoona, 'Cleo', 'Clawdeen', 'Draculaura', 'Frankie', 'Abbey' and 'Ghoulia' all attend the cruise, but the ship is attacked by a 'kraken' and sinks, leaving the group stuck on a small raft, before they wind up at 'Skull Shores'..."
The "Monster High" Fashion Line doll series, was created by writer Garrett Sander and illustrator Kellee Riley.
The first original toy franchise for Mattel since "Hot Wheels" in 1968, "Monster High"dolls are packaged as the children of famous monsters.
Characters include 'Draculaura', 'Frankie Stein', 'Clawdeen Wolf', 'Cleo de Nile and 'Lagoona Blue'.
The toy brand, first introduced July 2010, includes a wide range of merchandise and entertainment. Products range from "Monster High"-branded clothing, cosmetics, jewelry, dolls, a music video, the 2011 video game "Monster High: Ghoul Spirit", online webisode series, dedicated YouTube channel, a "Monster High" book for teens by author Lisi Harrison and TV specials.
