Back To The Studio For "Thor: The Dark World"

Exterior shooting has now wrapped in Surrey, UK, on Marvel Studios' "Thor: The Dark World" aka "Thursday Mourning", starring Chris Hemsworth as Marvel Comics superhero thunder god.

Production had been filming "...a battle between two kingdoms..." in Bourne Wood, an area of pine woodland and moorland looked after by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, where a village was also created featuring stone obelisks and yurts.

Scenes included Hemsworth as 'Thor' and Jaimie Alexander as 'Sif' in battle against 300 background 'marauders', under the direction of Alan Taylor ("Game Of Thrones").

Production is now continuing at Shepperton and Pinewood studios where Jaimie Alexander was hurt on set, then rushed to hospital. Although the actress is reportedly in good spirits, she will require physio-therapy for her injuries and is determined to return to the film.
