Amanda Seyfried Doing "Lovelace"

Although her fans may find it a bit hard to swallow, actress Amanda Seyfried ("Red Riding Hood"), will star as adult film actress Linda Lovelace, in the upcoming bio-pic "Lovelace".

Lovelace starred in the 1972 X-rated feature "Deep Thoat", before becoming an anti-pornography advocate.

Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to play Lovelace's husband, 'Chuck Traynor'.

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman ("The Celluloid Closet") will direct a screenplay by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin, adapting the biography "The Complete Linda Lovelace," by author Eric Danville.

Producers are Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel and Laura Rister.

Production will start January 2012.

In other "Linda Lovelace" news, writer/director Matthew Wilder continues developing his "Ordeal" feature project, based on Lovelace's autobiography, with Malin Akerman ("Watchmen") attached to star.

Mattel Toys With DC Comics Super Heroes

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and DC Entertainment report they have extended their relationship with toy manufacturer Mattel, in a new "multi-year" deal allowing Mattel access to all of DC Comics' characters.

Mattel is currently developing toy lines for the new 'Batman' movie "The Dark Knight Rises" and new 'Superman' movie, "Man of Steel".

Television-based collaborations include Warner Bros. Animation's "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" and "Young Justice".

"We have developed an incredibly successful partnership with Mattel and we are very excited about taking the relationship to new levels," said Brad Globe, President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have an unrivaled slate of content support across all key platforms essential to our global consumer products business which is anchored by our alliance with Mattel."

"The DC Comics Super Heroes enjoy a worldwide fan base that keeps the demand high for consistently imaginative new product," said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President, Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing at Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "The extension of the Mattel agreement ensures that these fans will continue to be amazed by our 'DC Comics Super Hero' offerings for many years to come."

You're Invited To The "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary"

BigGameHunter reports that 343 Industries has revealed a new campaign trailer for Microsoft Studios', upcoming first-person shooter video game "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary', available for the Xbox 360, November 15, 2011, ten years to the day after the launch of the first "Halo" video game :

Warners Investigates "Lew Harper"

According to reports, Warner Bros. plans to adapt the 1959 novel "The Galton Case", by author Ross Macdonald, with the character of private detective 'Lew Archer', (renamed 'Lew Harper'), returning to the big screen for producer Joel Silver :

"...almost twenty years have passed since 'Anthony Galton' disappeared, along with a streetwise bride and thousands of dollars of his family's fortune. Now Anthony's mother wants him back..."

Macdonald's 1949 novel, "The Moving Target" was adapted into the 1966 feature "Harper" starring actor Paul Newman.

Newman starred again starred as the private detective character in the 1975 feature "The Drowning Pool".
