Universal Pictures have confirmed their interest in picking up film rights to the Image graphic novel series "War Heroes", created by Mark Millar ("Kick-Ass") and Tony Harris.
Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly, who are currently writing a screenplay for Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange" are in negotiations to adapt a "War Heroes" script.
Millar and Harris will executive produce, for producers Michael De Luca, Chris Morgan and Dana Brunetti.
Premise of "War Heroes", focuses on a US military program that gives ordinary soldiers 'super-soldier' powers. When a rogue group breaks off to form a criminal enterprise, one hero rises from their ranks.
