According to reports, actor Will Sasso ("Mad TV") has been cast as 'Curly Howard' in the developing Twentieth Century Fox "Three Stooges" comedy feature from the Farrelly Brothers ("Dumb And Dumber").
Other actors that previously played Curly include actor Michael Chiklis ("The Shield") in the 2000 TV biopic "The Three Stooges".
Twentieth Century Fox acquired The Farrelly's "Three Stooges" project from MGM. The new film will be directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly from a screenplay they wrote with Mike Cerrone.
"It’s not a biopic," said Peter Farrelly. "It takes place in present day, and they will look, dress and sound exactly like the original Stooges..."
Casting continues for the part of 'Larry Fine', with Andy Samberg ("Saturday Night Live") on the short list, as well as casting for the role of Stooges' leader 'Moe Howard'.
Filming will start in Atlanta, Georgia, for producers Bradley Thomas, Charles B. Wessler and Earl Benjamin.
