Lisa Ray To Host For TLC

Toronto-born, Canadian actress Lisa Ray has signed with the lifestyle channel TLC to anchor a new travel-based show in 2011, that will "...depict the cultural backdrop of India like never before..."

Ray was originally a journalism student, before being approached by a fashion magazine to pose for a cover. This opportunity steered her into a high-profile career, leading to her acting in the film "Kasoor" (2000).

Canadian director Deepa Mehta then cast her as the lead in "Bollywood/Hollywood" (2002) and "Water" (2005).

Bud Sagendorf's "Popeye": I Yam What I Yam

IDW Publishing's upcoming, illustrated hard cover book, "Popeye: The Best Comic Book Stories Of Bud Sagendorf", will be available February 2011, written and illustrated by Sagendorf :

"Dungeons & Dragons" - February 2011

IDW Publishing's "Dungeons & Dragons" #4, will be available February 2011, written by John Rogers, art by Andrea Di Vito and covers by Tyler Walpole/Randy Green :

The original "Dungeons & Dragons" fantasy role-playing game, designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, was first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. Since 1997, the game has been published by Wizards of the Coast, derived from miniature wargames, widely regarded as the beginning of modern role-playing games.

"Angel: Illyria" - February 2011

IDW Publishing's "Angel: Illyria #4, will be available February 2011, written by Scott Tipton/Mariah Huehner, with art by Elena Casagrande and covers by Jenny Frison :

The character of 'Illyria', as portrayed by actress Amy Acker, was created by Joss Whedon ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer") for the television series "Angel". She became a series regular during the last third of Season Five, after possessing the body of 'Fred Burkle'.

A 'pure demon' from the 'Primordium Age', Illyria was one of the most feared of all the 'Old Ones', ruling from her citadel, 'Vahla ha'nesh'.
