Starz has greenlit production on "Magic City", a new action drama series focusing on "...the gritty side of Miami in the 1960's".
Executive producer is Mitch Glazer ("The Recruit").
"Magic City" follows 'Ike Evans', head of the 'Miramar Hotel' who meets pressures from criminal gangs, his own family and changes brought on by Fidel Castro taking control of Cuba.
"Mitch has created a world populated with unforgettable characters and with a big, dynamic story," said Starz President Chris Albrecht.
The 10-episode series is slated to debut in 2012.
