Lohan Blows Lovelace Role

According to Matthew Wilder, writer/director of the upcoming 'Linda Lovelace' bio-pic "Inferno", attached actress Lindsay Lohan ("Mean Girls") has officially been detached fom the role. Lohan is expected to remain in drug rehab until January 2011.

Wilder confirms that his production team has now cast Canadian actress Malin Akerman ("Watchmen") to play the lead in the film adapting the novel "Ordeal: An Autobiography Of Linda Lovelace" :

"...Linda Boreman was just twenty-one when she met Chuck Traynor, the man who would change her life. Less than two years later, the girl who wouldn’t let her high school dates get past first base was catapulted to fame she could never have imagined in her wildest dreams—or worst nightmares. Linda Boreman of Yonkers, New York, had become 'Linda Lovelace', international adult film superstar.

"The unprecedented success of 'Deep Throat' made porn popular with the mainstream and made Lovelace a household name. But nobody, from the A-list celebrities who touted the movie to the audiences that lined up to see it, knew the truth about what went on behind the scenes..."

Boreman later denounced her career, claiming she was forced into the role by her first husband. She later contracted hepatitis from a tainted blood transfusion she received after a 1970 car accident, undergoing a liver transplant in 1987. In 2002, she suffered massive trauma and internal injuries in another car accident. Taken off life-support in the hospital, she died in Denver, Colorado at the age of 53, the mother of two children.
