Lionsgate has acquired North American distribution rights to "The Lincoln Lawyer", based on author Michael Connelly's best-selling novel, starring Matthew "I Chew a Toothbrush All Day" McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe and William H. Macy.Brad Furman ("The Take") will direct the feature from a screenplay by John Romano ("Nights in Rodanthe").
Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment are producing with Stone Village Pictures, looking at a July start."The Lincoln Lawyer" follows criminal defense attorney 'Mickey Haller', who holds court out of the backseat of a Lincoln Town Car, before getting involved in a criminal case that will change his life forever.
