Actress Katherine Heigl, who plays 'Izzie Stevens' in the TV series "Grey's Anatomy", has confirmed she will return to the show for another season of episodes.

In last season's cliff-hanger, Izzie underwent successful brain surgery but lost her short-term memory, flat-lining during the last minutes of the finale.

The Stevens character earned Heigl an Emmy in 2007.

"Grey's Anatomy" debuted on ABC as a mid-season replacement for "Boston Legal", March 27, 2005, revolving around surgical interns 'Dr. Meredith Grey' (Ellen Pompeo), and Izzy Stevens at 'Seattle Grace Hospital' in Seattle, Washington.

April 23, 2009, ABC picked up "Grey's Anatomy" for the 2009–2010 television season, with the first episode of the sixth season airing Thursday, September 24, 2009...

Woody Wants Bruni-Sarkozy...

Director Woody "Bananas" Allen would like to use France's first lady, former model/actress Carla Bruni-Sarkozy for a film role.

"I'm sure she would be wonderful," Allen said.

"She's got charisma and she's already acted so she's not unknown to an audience. There are a lot of ways I could use her...though I don't have a story for her at the moment, but I'll certainly talk to her about it and I'll ask her if she's interested."

Bruni-Sarkozy, a top model before starting a career as a singer and marrying French President Nicolas Sarkozy last year, appeared in a cameo for director Robert Altman's 1994 feature "Pret-a-Porter."

Allen plans to shoot a film in Paris next year.
