CBS has greenlit a TV pilot for a new version of the classic cop series "Hawaii Five-O", written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, executive produced by Peter "CSI: NY" Lenkov.
Premise of the original series that aired on CBS 1968-1980, followed the cases of a fictional Hawaiian state police department, led by 'Steve McGarrett'.
Kurtzman and Orci, co-creators of Fox's Vancouver-lensed TV series "Fringe," recently scripted "Star Trek", "Transformers" and "Mission: Impossible III".
