Atari will adapt the Weinstein Co. reality TV series "Project Runway" into a new video game, set for a Spring 2010 release.
"Runway" host/model Heidi Klum and designer Tim Gunn will be involved with the game.
The licensing arrangment will allow for a series of "Project Runway" games to be created, with the first to launch on Nintendo’s Wii, utilizing the 'Wii Remote Controller' and 'Balance Board'.
Players will compete as aspiring fashion designers, outfitting models with hair, makeup and accessories, as well as becoming that model, or taking on the role of a fashion photographer.
"Project Runway" is currently airing its sixth season, moving from Bravo to Lifetime in a five-year pact, averaging 4.2 million viewers pers show.
Surveys reveal that more women, especially 'tween' and teen girls, are turning to videogames for entertainment.
