Actor Jon "Napoleon Dynamite" Heder will star in an adaptation of author Bradley Denton's sci fi novel, "Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede", based on a screenplay by Robert "Superfad" Rugan, who will also direct.
Molly "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman" Mayeux will produce through Dahlia Street Films alongside producing partner Michael "Trailer Park Of Terror" Hennessy.
Brian Bullock of Caspian Pictures will executive produce the project.
Premise of the book follows 'Oliver Vale', an average 'geek' whose life changes when singer 'Buddy Holly' appears on every TV channel, declaring Vale is the only one who understands why this occurs, as he is pursued by 'disfigured' aliens.
