Quench Your "Thirst"- July 31...

"Thirst", a horror/drama, written/directed by Park Chan-wook, tells the story of a priest who is in love with his friend’s wife, then turns into a vampire through a failed medical experiment.

"This film was originally called The Bat to convey a sense of horror, " said Chan-wook.

The film won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

Premise of "Thirst" focuses on 'Sang-hyun,' a priest whose time is spent as a volunteer at the local hospital, providing ministry to patients and respected for his unwavering faith.But the priest secretly suffers from overwhelming feelings of doubt about living in a world that seems to be drowning in suffering.

Fed up with an endless cycle of human sadness, Sang-hyun volunteers to participate in an experiment to find a vaccine for the deadly 'F.I.V.' virus. Heading off to Africa, the experiment proves to be a disaster, with Sang-hyun infected with a disease. But he miraculously makes a complete recovery. News is spread to the devout parishioners of Sang-hyun’s congregation and they believe the man has a gift for healing.

But the priest has turned into a vampire.
