Pinewood Toronto Studios Roll Out A Plan...

TorontoFilm.Net reports that the UK's Pinewood Shepperton plc, partly owned by brothers Ridley and Tony Scott, has now concluded a Sales and Marketing Agreement for Toronto's largest studio operation formerly known as Filmport, now renamed 'Pinewood Toronto Studios'.

As reported by SneakPeek.Ca December 2008, the deal confirms new investors will replace Filmport founder Rose Corporation, whose 80 per cent interest has been replaced in part with a 45 per cent investment from ROI Capital, a pension fund with ties to a Canadian performers union.

Castlepoint Realty, a mminority shareholder in Filmport, continues to hold a 15 per cent stake in the venture...
