Lin Locks Up "Tom And Jerry"...

Warner Bros. is moving forward with their plans to turn MGM's Hanna-Barbera cat and mouse cartoon characters "Tom And Jerry" into big screen CG stars.

Producer Dan "Sherlock Holmes" Lin will adapt the Oscar winning duo for an origin story revealing how 'Tom' the cat and 'Jerry' the mouse first met before developing their psychotic relationship.

Screenplay is by Eric Gravning, writer of the upcoming features "B-Minor", Mr. Burnout" and "Class Act".

The CG/live-action model worked previously for Warners' "Scooby-Doo", with two features earning $457 million theatrically.

[i]Tom and Jerry[/i] originated as a series of 114 animated shorts, produced by MGM between 1940 and 1960, winnng seven Academy Awards.

Lin will produce "Tom and Jerry" through Lin Pictures, with Jon Silk co-producer...
