New Regency has purchased screen rights to author/psychatrist Dr. Josh Bazell's "Beat the Reaper," as a starring vehicle for actor Leonardo DiCaprio.Premise of the novel, described as a dark comedy thriller follows a Manhattan emergency room doctor named 'Pietro Brwna' who was a former gangster for a New Jersey mob.
Julie Yorn will produce with DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran.
The film will be a co-production between Appian Way and a new production/management company launched by Rick Yorn...
