Norrington Flys With "The Crow"...

Director Stephen "Blade" Norrington will write/direct a 'reinvention' of "The Crow" comic books.

Created by James O’Barr for Calibre Press in 1989, the series was originally written by O'Barr as a means of dealing with the death of his girlfriend at the hands of a drunk driver, with four films, a television series and numerous books and comic books so far adapted from the source material.

Premise of the original story, focuses on 'Eric' and his girlfriend 'Shelley', who are assaulted and killed by a street gang after their car breaks down. One year late, a 'crow' pecking at Eric's tomb, casues him to be resurrected to seek out his killers with the bird as his mentor and guide.

Norrington said the new "Crow" will be realistic, hard-edged, mysterious and "almost documentary-style"...
