"Buick 8" Driving People Crazy...

Director Tobe "Poltergeist" Hooper will direct a feature adaptation of author Stephen King's novel "From a Buick 8".

Screenplay is by Johnathon Schaech and Richard Chizmar.


The package was optioned by Moonstone Entertainment chairman-CEO Etchie Stroh and Amicus Entertainment president Robert Katz.

Stephen King collaborator Mick "Masters Of Horror" Garris will produce.

The story begins in 1979 when a man drives his 1954 'Buick Roadmaster' up to a service station in rural Pennsylvania, then vanishes, leaving behind the car. The state police of 'Troop D' park the automobile in a shed near their barracks, fully aware that the vintage vehicle is a doorway between our world and another dimension...
