In celebration of the 25th anniversary of director Sir Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner", starring actor Harrison Ford, the film has gone back to post for a new version that Warner Home Video will release on DVD December 18th.
"Blade Runner: The Final Cut," a restored/remastered version scanned at 4K resolution, will contain never-before-seen added/extended scenes, added lines, new and improved special effects, director and filmmaker commentary and an all-new 5.1 Dolby® Digital audio track.
A showcase theatrical run is being planned for New York and Los Angeles October 5.
Ford, Rutger Hauer, Edward James Olmos, Joanna Cassidy, Sean Young and Daryl Hannah are among 80 actors, filmmakers and others who will participate in the bonus features, including 'Dangerous Days', a new, three-and-a-half-hour doc by DVD producer Charles de Lauzirika.
There will also be DVD galleries devoted to over 45 minutes of deleted/alternate scenes recently discovered in deep storage and approved by Ridley Scott...
