TIFF Gets Saddled With Pitt's "Jesse James"

A special presentation of the Vancouver-filmed feature "Battle in Seattle", starring Charlize Theron, from actor/director Stuart "Head In The Clouds" Townsend will now screen at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

The drama revolves around the 1999 US anti-globalization protests.

"Battle In Seattle" was co-produced by Kirk Shaw's Insight Film Studios and Montreal's Remstar Productions.

TIFF will also be screening actor Brad Pitt as the western bank robber 'Jesse James' in the $30 million budgeted "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford". The feature filmed in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg in 2006.

Directed by Andrew "Chopper" Dominik, "Jesse James" co-stars Casey "Ocean's Thirteen" Affleck as 'Bob Ford'.

Also at this year's TIFF, Paul "Crash" Haggis debuts his war drama "In the Valley of Elah", starring Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon.

This year's TIFF runs in Toronto, September 5 to the 16th.
