Parts of director Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight", the sequel to "Batman Begins", will be specially filmed with IMAX cameras.
Four scenes from "The Dark Knight" will be shot with the IMAX format and those scenes will be integrated into the rest of the 35mm feature.
Although principal photography on "The Dark Knight" is only just beginning, the first IMAX-shot sequences, featuring the introduction of Heath Ledger's 'Joker', were shot last month in Chicago.
"The Dark Knight" is set to premiere day-and-date in IMAX and regular format theaters, July 18, 2008.
"The Dark Knight" stars actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.
New additions include Ledger, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
