Whistler Film Festival Announces Script Finalists



The Whistler Film Festival (WFF) has announced three finalists in the theme-based 'Short Scripts' competition, presented by Citytv Vancouver.

Randall Okita, Adam Higgs and Kathy Leung will participate in a two-minute pitch session, with their scripts read live, Saturday, December 2 at the 'Whistler Film Festival Filmmaker Forum', presented by Bell.

Following readings, there will be analysis by a panel of guest judges, with one project selected and awarded a cash development prize from Citytv Vancouver.

Competition moderator will be Ken Hegan, Voice of Treason Productions, with judges Jennifer Chen, Flow Distribution, Prem Gill, Chum TV and Priya Rao, indie producer.

The 6th annual Whistler Film Festival starts November 30 with four days of films, industry sessions, parties and networking opportunities on and off the slopes at North America's number one ski resort.

The festival is presented by American Express and is sponsored by Bell Canada, Directors Guild of Canada - BC District Council, CBC Newsworld, Global Television, Harmony Airways and Movie Gallery, with support from Telefilm Canada.
