"WFF" - "Air Guitar Nation" to "Unspeakable"

Some notable films screening at this year's Whistler Film Festival, includes a mix of themes ranging from skate boarders and sex workers to hard core rockers:

"Air Guitar Nation":

This film captures the first US competition for 'air guitar' players, following contestants as they compete across the US for fame and fortune in Finland. With 'C Diddy'.

"Citizen Sam":

Undoubtedly this must-see world premiere film at WFF, is a stark, NFB-produced doc, revealing former athlete, now disabled Vancouver mayor Sam Sullivan throughout his 2005 city political campaign.

"Sex Trade":

This doc offers three independent experiences of a madame, escort and former street prostitute, in an uncompromising look at the flourishing sex industry in Vancouver;

"Sisters":

From Vancouver's Kirk Shaw and Insight Poductions, this feature is a remake of director Brian De Palma's classic thriller about Siamese sisters under the control of an unscrupulous doctor.

"Unspeakable":

Doc film-maker John Paskievich examines the world of stuttering, revealing his own vulnerabilities while recalling famous stammerers including Marilyn Monroe and Winston Churchill.


The 6th annual Whistler Film Festival starts November 30 with four days of films, industry sessions, parties and networking opportunities on and off the slopes at North America's number one ski resort.
