Capt Haddock Knows The "Secret of the Unicorn"


According to sources, the estate of "Tintin" creator Herge has approved a screenplay submitted by director Steven Spielberg, for a feature based on the "Tintin" comic book album adventures "The Secret of the Unicorn" and its sequel "Red Rackham's Treasure".

Spielberg recently gave a speech before a crowd of TV industry execs in New York City, where the topic of "Tintin" as a 'movie franchise' was mentioned.

Originally published as a series in "Le Soir", June 1942 - January 1943, "The Secret of the Unicorn", written and illustrated by Belgian writer, illustrator Hergé, focuses on the investigation and subsequent discovery of treasure ship 'The Unicorn' and its pirate connection to 'Tintin' friend 'Capt Haddock'.


The sequel "Red Rackham's Treasure" follows the hunt for the treasure.
