Del Toro Reviving DC's "Deadman" ?

Mexican filmmaker, Guillermo "Hellboy" del Toro, is in negotiations to direct a feature version of the DC Comics superhero "Deadman."

'Deadman' is the ghost of a circus acrobat named 'Boston Brand', who was murdered during a trapeze performance.

The vengeful spirit was granted the power by a Hindu goddess to possess any living being in order to find his killer and in the ensuing search, finds himself obliged to help others.

"Deadman" was created for DC Comics "Strange Adventures (1967) by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, with artist Neal Adams taking over the series.

Del Toro will produce "Deadman" with Don "Transformers" Murphy and Susan Montford.
