January 24, 2006The CBS Paramount Network has ordered the TV drama pilot "Ultra," based on the Image comic book series of the same name.
The "Ultra" pilot is described as an action-adventure about
'a single city-girl superhero' balancing the demands of her powers and love life.
The comic book parodies celebrity magazines, featuring 'Pearl Penalosa' aka 'Ultra', whose image is used to sell advertising brands. Barbara "Joan Of Arcadia" Hall wrote the script.
Hall is also noted for "Judging Amy" and will executive produce "Ultra" with David Engel and David Alpert.
