Dive Into "Shark Week: Restless Fury"

Entertainment One Presents "Shark Week: Restless Fury", now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

Noted as one of the longest-running cable series of its kind, the Discovery Channel debuted the "Shark Week" TV series in 1986.

"Learn why these attacks are increasing at an alarming rate and see the awe-inspiring lengths sharks will go to when they're after prey. Explore the science, myths and mystery of this fearsome predator..."

With the assist of fearless deep-sea divers and the use of 'bite-cams', fin-cams', etc. "Shark Week: Restless Fury", includes spectacular HD 'air jaws', slow-motion footage of 1 ton 'flying sharks' propelling themselves out of the water, surreal footage from inside a live shark's mouth and other fascinating imagery of these other-worldly killing-machines.

Some of the episodes are quite gruesome, with an advisory due to footage of real shark attacks.

Bonnie And Clyde: "Go Down Together"

Director Neil Burger ("Limitless) is now attached to a new take on 1930's killers 'Bonnie Parker' and 'Clyde Barrow', based on the novel "Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde", by author Jeff Guinn.

The bank-robbers are believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders.

A playful snapshot of the couple found at an abandoned hide-out, with pistol-toting Bonnie smoking a cigar, was subsequently distributed to the press, positioning the unmarried outlaws on the national media scene, launching their brief careers as 'fun-loving' criminal superstars.

Without Bonnie, the media outside Texas might have dismissed Clyde as a gun-toting punk, if it ever considered him at all. But a steady stream of sassy photographs supplied by Bonnie kept the media and the Depression-era public wanting more.

AMC Goes To "Hell On Wheels"

Sneak Peek the first images from the Calgary-lensed 'western' TV series "Hell on Wheels", the upcoming period drama, set during the building of the 'Transcontinental Railroad'.

Written/produced by Joe and Tony Gayton, the first season of 10 episodes will premiere on AMC, October 16, 2011, after the second season premiere of "The Walking Dead".

The term 'Hell on Wheels' is an 1860's phrase describing the traveling work camps that helped expand railroads westward after the US Civil War.

Former 'Confederate' soldier 'Cullen Bohannon' (Anson Mount) joins one of the camps in the guise of looking for work. But in actuality he is searching for his wife's killers.

Cast also includes Dominique McElligott, Colm Meaney, Ben Esler, Eddie Spears, Philip Burke and April Telek.

"Dredd" Is The Law

Sneak Peek new images of actor Karl Urban ("Star Trek") as superhero cop 'Judge Dredd', in the upcoming DNA Films' motion picture comic book adaptation, "Dredd".

Co-starring actress Lena Heady ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") as the villain 'Madeline Madrigal' (aka 'Ma-Ma'), the $45 million budgeted, 3D adaptation, to be distributed by Lionsgate, is currently in CG post-production.

Urban stars as the law enforcement officer from futuristic 'Mega-City One', for director Pete Travis ("Vantage Point"), from a screenplay by Alex Garland ("Sunshine").

Reliance BIG Pictures and IM Global, a Reliance international sales company, financed the live-action feature, based on the 2000 AD Publishing character created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra.

"The main thing about 'Dredd' is that it’s a fantastic comic," said producer Andrew Macdonald.

"Our idea was to make a very hard, R-rated, gritty, realistic movie of 'Dredd' in 'Megacity', so we had to get the tone right...he’s going to hit people and it’s going to feel real."

"Alex Garland’s script is faithful to the original concept that made 'Judge Dredd' a favourite bad-ass hero," said "Dredd" comic book co-creator Wagner.

"This adaptation of 'Judge Dredd' will have an emphasis on adrenaline and realism, with all the scale and spectacle of 'Mega-City One'."
igned Michael Murphy ("District 9") as a South
Inspired by Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry", Dredd is a uniformed judge, combining combine powers of police, judge, jury and executioner.

Dredd and his fellow Judges are empowered to arrest, sentence and execute criminals on the spot.

With 'bionic' eyes implanted after a time-traveling mission to the 'City Of The Damned', Dredd carries a 'lawgiver' pistol, while riding a cannon-mounted, artificial intelligence 'lawmaster' chopper.

In the begining, 'Joseph Dredd' and his brother 'Rico' were cloned from the DNA of 'Chief Judge Fargo', the first chief judge. Their growth was artificially accelerated, finally emerging in 2066 with appropriate knowledge for their age, electronically implanted in their brains by computer during gestation.

The name 'Dredd' was chosen by genetic scientist 'Morton Judd'.

In 2070 the Dredds saw action for the first time during the 'Atomic Wars', when as cadets, they were temporarily fast-tracked through the 'Academy Of Law', assigned the rank of full judge and sent to restore order, following the US Justice Department deposing the President.

Joseph continued to excel as a Judge, rapidly gaining promotion to the rank of 'Senior Judge', while in the midst of saving the world from destruction, during the 'Fourth World War'.
