“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in China


The upcoming Sony/Marvel feature, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”has secured a theatrical release in China, despite a claim the ‘China Film Administration’ (CFA) would ‘moderately reduce’ the amount of American films it imports, following that country’s refusal to release the 2021 feature, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” because Sony would not comply with their request to "cut out the ‘Statue of Liberty’ in the film…” :


“…‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, the 38th film in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ (‘MCU’), directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, stars Tom Holland as ‘Peter Parker’/‘Spider-Man’ alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman and Marvin Jones III, releasing July 31, 2026 in theaters.
