”Human Vapor”is a new 8-episode, live-action Japan/South Korea-produced science fiction ‘crime thriller’ TV series directed by Shinzo Katayama, starring Shun Oguri and Yu Aoi, based on the 1960 Toho feature “The Human Vapor”, directed by Ishirō Honda, streaming July 2, 2026 on Netflix:
“…in the original film, a librarian named ‘Mizuno’, who, following a scientific experiment gone wrong, is transformed into a gaseous, vaporous being.
“Utilizing his newfound abilities to become a ‘Human Vapor’, Mizuno commits a series of bank robberies.
