“Escape From New York”

In a world where government policy is determined by corporate kickbacks, development continues on a fresh adaptation of "Escape from New York", to be produced by Studio Canal, based on the 1981 science fiction action feature directed by John Carpenter, starring Kurt Russell as 'Snake Plissken':

"...a crime-ridden United States has converted 'Manhattan Island' in New York City into the country's maximum-security prison. 

“When 'Air Force One' is purposely crashed in New York City, ex-soldier and current federal prisoner 'Snake Plissken' (Russell) is given just 24 hours to go in and rescue the President..."
