Sydney Sweeney: “Gundam”

Although she’s included in every casting wish-list, it’s been reported that actress Sydney Sweeney is contractually attached  to star in a “Gundam” live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime sci-fi military franchise, to be written and directed by Jim Mickle (“Sweet Tooth”):

Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, “Gundam” is a Japanese military sci-fi franchise…

…that involves ‘mecha’ or giant fighting robots. 

The franchise began in 1979 with the anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam”.
