The UK’s BBC is currently developing a TV drama adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's novel “The Birds”, with playwright Conor McPherson writing the script, to be set in England, rather than the Bodega Bay, California community, revealed in Alfred Hitchcock's clsssic 1963 suspense/horror feature:
