The "Popeye" theatrical cartoon short, “Morning, Noon and Night Club” was produced by Fleischer Studios and released in 1937, directed by Dave Fleischer and Willard Bowsky, starring Jack Mercer as ‘Popeye’ and Mae Questel as ‘Olive’ :

“…and heckles and otherwise disrupts the act…”
